![]() The miss rate and reload speed penalities at low levels can be obnoxious and prompt you to early on ditch them for your revolver when the magazine depletes. And it's not tested, but it wouldn't be far fetched to say it *might* also allow Chi-Blast to be a AoE without the needed levels in Chi-blast to do it.Īs for upgrading, I find that duel wielding the automatic SMG weapons (I use the Golden SMGs for now) is the most effective way to use them and is a good gem to go after, but CONSTENTLY look to upgrade the duel wielding gem. Looking at the Chi-Blast effects, I noticed that the kick seems to have a much higher chance to knock superior enemies down, given you have the Asteral Mastery skill in use, and the Tremor has a wider radius and is very friendly with surprises. Save for one guy but he ranted and left when I wanted the story and let the 30 second cutscene play before starting a side mission, though that is honestly a universal problem with all games and gamers who loathe stories or fail to realize other players have yet to see it. I can play for hours on end with multiplayer left open and no one joins. That and for some reason, multiplayer is dead as hell, at least on No Pain No Gain (Though my attempts to find another game to join on any difficulty at most turn up one game, most often none). Still need a good deal of work though, sorta since I'm new and such. Though fire immunity is another story and creates a good deal of fake difficulty at times, especially when they tow around another immunity with it. I have about 70% fire resist reduction however on the katana I use however, so it often means very little just to resist fire. ![]() I only have one ice weapon and the rest are fire weapons. Of course, I do right now need to work on stuff like weapons of different elemental types. Where's Hoji when you need him? RIP Hoji, you will be missed forever Not to mention from SW2013, the sudden limitation of Chi useage can be a eye opener. I am not sure about lower difficulties since I start most games as hard as I can, but considering how sparse health kits can be at times even with Call For Medic at max and how much burst damage the enemies can do (Sometimes diving into 130+), you will find yourself healing frequently. ![]() Those two become absolutely vital real fast. I agree with the skil that allows chi regen followed by the healing skill. Since my Grip of Darkness is so overpowered now, I try not to use player skills and just kite around, getting high damage bursts in, since it can be difficult to stay in one place, without dying, trying to use a weapon like a minigun. On insanity 7, now I mostly use the high damage burst weapons, like the sniper weapons, grenade launchers and rockets, each with a different elemental setup to combat the different enemy resistances. Once resistances and auras kick in on the higher difficulties you get more restricted on what you have to have in your arsenal. Explosive damage, the turret gem and just dropping a gun to be a turret, the multishot gem for shotguns, the charge up gem for increased damage and that gem that increases bullets shot in one firing.Īll in all, there is a lot of flexibilty early on to just mess around and do what's fun. And then other weapons I just built for fun, like checking out the dual weapon gem on different guns. This changes once you have to deal with enemy resistances, but I don't remember that being an issue at the beginning. I'm a fan of Grip of Darkness, because you can crowd control as well as increasing damage when they are impaled, but some people like going the invisibilty route and maxing that and some people like going the Shadow Fury route and maxing that.Īs far as weapons, I remember building one weapon for increased damage against small enemies, another weapon for increased damage against large enemies and then another weapon for increased damage against superiors and elites. ![]() Then I went for the healing skill, melee attack skills and the player skills. I think most people would say, max the skill that continually regenerates chi as top priority. Well, I don't remember much about enemy resistances and auras on normal difficutly when first played, since that was like a year ago, but I remember what I was doing and that was things that just felt fun and some things that seemed to make sense at the time.
